libethdev4 software package provides Data Plane Development Kit (libethdev runtime library), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libethdev4
libethdev4 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libethdev4 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libethdev4 *
You will get with libethdev4 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
